Las Vegas, bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World, and is famous for its mega casino–hotels, gambling, entertainment, and nightlife. Just wandering the Strip is enough to get your heart pumping.
We stayed there for 3 days. There is enough time to see all of Las Vegas, because almost all the sights are on the same street, The Strip.
In this City you don't need really a car to come around because you can walk to all attractions. By bus or taxi, it is very easy to get to sights outside of the Strip.

From Joshua Tree National Park, it took a very long time, about 4 hours to reach Las Vegas at midnight.
The first look was very impressive, because on the highway, you can already see the large illuminated hotels and mega casinos.
But at this time we were very tired, so we drove as fast as we could to the Hard Rock Hotel, that we booked.

4455 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89169

Hotel rooms are very modern and well equipped. Large pool area with entertainment program and a cozy pool bar. Is not as overpriced as the better-known hotels right on The Strip.

After check-in, we went in the hotel room to sleep immediately.

DAY 1

Approximately at 11AM we woke up and the most important thing in the morning was to find a good restaurant for something to eat.
So we went out of the hotel and discovered the surrounding.
It was very nice to see the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas across the street, there we ordered a typical German beer and a tasty meal.

4510 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89169

Authentic german restaurant with excellent food and good beer. Prices are slightly higher, but otherwise it has a very good atmosphere.

From the lunch, we got enough energy to go sightseeing.
The location of the Hard Rock Hotel is not direct on the strip, the main street with all the famous hotels and casinos, so we had to go about 20 minutes.

The Strip, Las Vegas, CA 89109

All famous mega-casinos with their attractions are on both sides of this road. The whole place lights up at night.

The first major casino that we reached, was the MGM, where we got informed, that at the evening an event with DJ Chuckie takes place on the pool. (Later in the blog)

After that we saw the New York New York Casino with the most famous buildings of the same named city which is surrounded by a roller coaster.

Next to the New York New York Casino, there are also a lot of other famous hotels like Luxor Hotel, or the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Our next plan was to visit the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, so we started to walk along the strip in the direction of the sign.
The bad part was that we did not know how long it would take to reach it, so we went over 45min.
At first, we saw a very long line which waits to take a picture with the sign, but if you visit this city, it is a must-to-do to take a picture.

5200 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign is the door way to the Entertainment Capital of the World. It is one the most photographed places in the world, so make sure to stop and get your picture taken at the Sign. Sometimes it is very crowded.

To get back on the central Strip, we took this time the bus and after arriving we went back to our hotel.
At the evening, we got a invitation to some student buddies, so we styled us a little bit, bought something to drink and went to their hotel.
At midnight, we decided to visit the pool party at the MGM, of which we had heard during the day.
I never saw such an carefully security check on a event but the party was unforgettable.

I can not rate the hotel itself, but the events at this location are great. This pool party was the biggest I've ever seen.

After some hours we walked home to the Hard Rock Hotel.

DAY 2

The next day we woke up at about 11AM, checked out of the hotel and drove to the Bellagio.
We already decided before, to stay one night in one of the really famous hotels and so we chose this one.

3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

It is a beautiful and luxurious hotel, but a little bit expensive. From the room I would have expected more. However, the pool area is really stunning.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we spent some time in our room and drank there a couple of beers.
In the afternoon we relaxed on the really stunning hotel pool.
A few hours later we decided once again to go on the Strip to see the hotels in the other direction.
Next to the Bellagio is the famous Caesars Palace, including The Forum Shops at Caesars.

3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

The theme and architecture of the Hotel is really nice. The Forum Shops at Caesars are one of the most beautiful shopping halls i have ever seen. The atmosphere was great and the food was good and expensive.

After a short break in the Forum Shops, we went on again.
When you stroll along the Strip, you'll constantly encounter artists and funny dressed people. So it is entertaining here everytime.
The next big attraction was the Miracle Hotel, where you will see a large volcano that spews lava.

Opposite the Miracle Hotel, the Venetian is located.
It's amazing how authentic the hotel looks, compared to the original city.

Our next destination was the Stratosphere Tower.
From the top you will have a great view over the city and the Strip.
We went there by night so we saw the whole city fully lightened.

2000 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

The view was great but it is very expensice. Sometimes it's also very crowded so we had to wait more than 30min.

Then we took a Uber Taxi back to the hotel. We saw a few more large hotels like the Circus Circus, Wynn or The Palazzo.

Upon arrival it was almost midnight, but to go to bed was no option for us, so we decided to play one more round roulette at our hotel.
We had a lot of fun, but the luck was not on our side.
The stakes are not cheap in Vegas, so we stopped playing before we would still lose a lot of money.
After this long day, we were looking forward to our hotel room.

DAY 3

Our stay in Las Vegas is now already over.
We checked out of the hotel at about 12PM and then we looked around to find something to eat.
In the afternoon we drove to Alamo Las Vegas to pick up our second rented car.

7135 Gilespie St, Las Vegas, NV 89119

A huge amount of different cars to choose and the price-performance ratio is the best. I really recommend this company. The price also included the second rented car that we picked up in Las Vegas.

The next step was, to buy two mattresses at Walmart because we wanted to sleep for over a week in the car.

6005 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119

In the Walmart stores you will get everything you need.

After shopping we had everything we needed for the trip.
At about 3PM we left Las Vegas.
